The processes used to produce the substitute fuel, RENOTHERM®, are strictly monitored to guarantee that quality standards remain consistent
Coal, gas and oil are still important sources of energy. However, as supplies of these fuels become scarcer and scarcer, so the demand for alternative solutions is increasing – for example for substitute fuel made from waste that is unsuitable for materials recycling. REMONDIS produces and markets liquid and solid substitute fuels under the brand name, RENOTHERM®. The environment benefits from this, too – as these products help to conserve natural resources and reduce CO2 emissions.
Each step of the innovative process we use to produce substitute fuels from industrial waste is subject to strict quality controls. By doing so, we can guarantee that the product line has a consistently high calorific value. When we produce solid RENOTHERM®, we adapt and guarantee the flash point, calorific value, grain size and pH value to meet the requirements of our customers. Liquid RENOTHERM® is especially suitable for use in cement works, power plants and other industrial furnaces. Here, too, we take the limit values of our customers' facilities into account – and ensure our fuels can always be used without problem.
Both the calorific value and the characteristics of RENOTHERM® – such as grain size and chemical properties – are precisely defined.
The substitute fuel production process involves a number of different stages
Large tanks are available for storing liquid RENOTHERM®
Hazardous waste, which is processed into RENOTHERM®, is subject to strict regulations. Read our flyer to learn more about how we produce substitute fuels (PDF, German only)
