The REMONDIS Lippe Plant in Lünen is not only the place where our head office is based but is also a source of numerous raw materials, products and energy recovered and/or made from hazardous and non-hazardous waste. This plant has high levels of both efficiency and safety thanks to the smooth operation of its facilities and the fact that the specialists working there are continuously improving the processes. All this has made the Lippe Plant one of the largest industrial recycling centres in Europe.
Recovering raw materials: having first carefully removed any hazardous substances, we then extract high quality raw materials in our large-scale processing facilities.

A huge range of services

Besides the many administration buildings located at the REMONDIS Lippe Plant, there is also a fluidised-bed power plant, a biomass-fired power plant and a laboratory for environmental analytical work. Moreover, a very wide range of facilities can be found there for treating, processing and recycling materials. Our range of services is enormous: we recycle chemicals and plastics and recover valuable materials from waste electrical and electronic equipment, we extract energy from waste timber, stainless steel, non-ferrous metal and slag, produce white pigments and binding agents as well as arable soils for the agricultural sector. All these activities help to reduce the consumption of primary raw materials and energy and, by doing so, we are helping to prevent climate change.
